Application of magnesium plate in the field of mold

1, mold processing

Mold processing mainly depends on processing speed and precision. From the perspective of processing speed, under the same specifications, its engraving time is two-thirds of the engraving time with copper plates and one-third of the engraving time with aluminum plates; from the comparison of the fineness of the engraving, it is correct during the engraving process. The tool wear of the equipment is quite small, and there is no need to replace the tool or break the knife during the engraving process. Therefore, the pattern of the mold engraved in this way is high in fineness, and there will be no inconsistency in the pattern due to the broken tool. The quality of the products has been significantly improved. The use of magnesium alloy plates as molds has less wear on the engraving equipment, and the engraving speed is higher than other metals. This also reduces the processing cost of the mold.
2, mold use
The advantage of magnesium board as a mold in the production process is more obvious. Due to the low specific heat capacity, the heating and cooling speed of the magnesium plate mold is fast, and the heating time is half of that of the copper plate mold and one third of that of the aluminum plate mold. And its cooling time is only half of the copper mold. This greatly improves the production efficiency and greatly reduces the cost at the same time. From the comparison of hardness, the magnesium plate mold is basically the same as the copper plate mold, which is much higher than that of the aluminum plate mold. This is reflected in the long service life of the mold and the effect of the finished product is higher than other metal molds. For example: in the production of Spring Festival couplets and wall calendars in the decoration manufacturing industry, the finished products made with magnesium board molds have a three-dimensional effect, vividness, and high smoothness.
