As a result of pitting corrosion, the metal surface is uneven, which must be avoided in the corrosion of metal signs.


The third step is uniform corrosion. Since the aluminum oxide film falls off from point to complete during the corrosion process, although pitting corrosion is formed, a certain amount of etching agent is added to the corrosion solution and the high-pressure washing of the high-pressure pump makes the oxide film and the corroded The lower metal ions quickly leave the corrosion zone, so that uniform corrosion can be completed.


Aluminum metal is in the passivation zone between PH value 4.5-8.5, and the passivation film is not easy to be corroded. When the pH value is less than 4.5, it is acid corrosion; when the pH value is greater than 8.5, it is alkaline corrosion. Because most of the protective inks used in sign corrosion are acid-resistant, most of the corrosive liquids used are also acidic. The pH value of the acid corrosive solution is not the lower the corrosion is faster. Taking nitric acid corrosion solution as an example, when the concentration reaches 30%, the corrosion rate is the fastest when the temperature is above 15 °C, and the higher the temperature, the faster the corrosion rate. If the concentration is further increased, the corrosion rate will decrease, and when the nitric acid reaches 80%, there is almost no corrosion.
