Therefore, as the domestic market demand begins to supply magnesium alloy plates, more and more copper plates and zinc plates are replaced by magnesium plates replaced. If all are replaced with magnesium alloy etched plates, it will require 7,000 tons per year.

In the field of molds, magnesium sheets have also begun to emerge. Magnesium alloy plates are engraved and made into molds, which are widely used in shoemaking, ornament production and other industries.

The demand for magnesium plates in the printing field is mainly manifested in bronzing printing. The plate making process consists of several steps such as printing, opening, pickling, and alkali washing. The processed finished product is installed on the hot stamping machine and used directly. Zinc plate and copper plate were used before. As early as 40 years ago, Magnesium Elektro (Yili Kechuang Magnesium Industry Group) company began to produce magnesium alloy etched plates. Since zinc plates and copper plates generate a large amount of waste liquid in the plate making process, they cannot be recycled, and the environmental pollution is particularly serious. European and American countries gradually use magnesium alloy etched plates to replace zinc plates and copper plates.

At present, the market demand for magnesium alloy etched sheets is very large and is growing rapidly. The demand for magnesium alloy etched plates in the European market alone is more than 2,000 tons per year, and the total demand in other continents also exceeds 1,000 tons per year. At present, the domestic hot stamping printing industry is still using zinc plates and copper plates, and its demand is more than 7,000 tons per year. If these plates are replaced by magnesium alloy etched plates, the demand will reach more than 1,500 tons per year. In the field of hot stamping printing, the annual demand for magnesium alloy rolled sheets in the world exceeds 4,500 tons.
